Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Formatting the disk will delete everything from it.

    To defragment click start>all programs>accessories>system tools>disk defragmenter

You should see this window for defrag

You also need to have a minimum of 15% of the total Disk size free to be able to carry out a defragment.

The built in windows defragmenter is rather poor.

    Try using jkdefrag.

Don't try to format the drive; you'll lose all the data!

Defragging is different from formatting. Formatting wipes the contents of the drive (not securely though) while defragmenting rearranges the file fragments to make them contiguous and improve disk performance.

I agree, Windows defrag is not the best. I personally use Diskeeper 2009 Pro and I am really happy with it. Set it on automatic, and never have to defrag again. Also defragged one of the drives that had only about 6% free space left.

has anyone ever tried Auslogics Disk Defrag?,use it often myself, coolest part is,if you have a pc with a fast cpu,i.e dual core or something, you can set it to use all the comps resources to speed up the defragmentation
