Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

One of my friends asked me what he should do. He signed on for unemployment benefit on the wednesday (which he has been claiming legally for over a year now) however he got a weeks work starting the monday (subject to paye and prsi). he tried contacting the social welfare office to inform them of his weeks work however it constantly rang out. As he received the dole payment does this mean he will be stopped a weeks pay from the welfare before he can be refunded the tax paid on his behalf for the weeks work.

    thanking you in advance

It is likely his ' overpayment ' will be discovered well before he gets any tax rebate. He will be required to pay back the benefit he got for the week he worked - this may be by way of a weekly deduction over a period of time.

similar enough thing happened with me this week, i got 2 nights work, monday and tuesday, for about 4 hours each night, went into the social welfare office today, explained it to the person working in there and she just said that to either get a letter from the people i was working for or my pay slip and bring it into them and they will just take the days i was working from my social welfare payment... hope this is correct as i went into them as soon as possible, the day atfter the work and explained the situation, dont want to risk doing anything wrong in this situation!
