Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

You can usually nab a stool tho! They have mad comfy stools.

So with that in mind my team would be:

Healy, Cronin, Ross, Cullen, Roux, McLoughlin, SOB, Heaslip; Boss, Sexton, Nacewa, D'Arcy, O'Driscoll, McFadden, Kearney

Strauss, McGrath, Hagan, Toner, Jennings, Cooney, Madigan, O'Malley

I'd go with that. Although I don't think EOM is fit, so I'd put Conway at 23.

Has there been any updates on him? Kind of worrying the way he is fading in and out. Hopefully he can get a good pre-season in, although I suspect if he's fit he'll be another body for one of the two summer tours

Madigan is too good to leave out and should be accommodated at 12 or 15

    Someone on LF

    Darcy/Goodman a doubt

    "
Interesting 10, 12 combo in store I would gather.
Will be accommodating both of the lads with JS at 10.

    "

    Who knows?

Training that way apparently in UCD

He's played there before, so I'd imagine it shouldnt be a problem, however I'd rather see McFadden slotting in there with whoever's on the bench to step up.

Around the side and into Ciss Maddens's then, it's usually less busy.

And harder to see the screens in fairness. Grand old mans pubs for normal days but match days its a pain unless you have a good seat imo.

He's tackled props and back rowers plenty of times and it's been no problem to him. I think he's ask a lot more question of Traille than Traille will of him. Traille isn't exactly a speed merchant, mostly just runs hard and straight; facing someone like Madigan who's acceleration and step are very good could be troublesome for Traille.

Indeed just when you have to do it from 12 for a whole game in a position you dont always play its not ideal to be up against someone 5 inches bigger.

Just little things, Traille will certainly struggle with Ian's little sparks of genius.

If you get into the Horseshow fairly lively after the game you'll be grand. I've been in after games in Landsdowne Rd and while I haven't been able to get seats then there's always been plenty of room to stand, which doesn't bother me tbh. It's not going to be any worse than that on Saturday.

As I guessed it appears SOB is out after all, not training again today and backrow reserves not in A game

    Must have a knock

    Backrow probably
    Kevin
    Shane
    Jamie

Really hope the do give Madigan the 12 jersey. Sexton, Madigan and BOD makes me very excited indeed :D

I'd question madigans distrubition for an entire game at 12. Madigan can pass, and he has a lovely pass, but his awareness at 10 isn't great and at 12 you have even less time/space. I dunno, we have a very good 12 in McFadden so I don't see why we'd start madigans when ferg is available.

Yep. Me too. Sexton been good at 12, get all our best players on the pitch. Then if Madzers has a mare at 10 can just move Sexton in.

We haven't look great without Darcy and SOB.

I kinda thought this injury thing was over, but realistically we're going into this game shorn of probably 4 definite starters in Reddan, Darcy, Sob, Fitz

I guess I am just beginning to get used to players being out.

I'd much rather start Jenno, always delivers. Dippy still a little prone to the silly penalty or, following last week, totally unnecessary final sidestep!

    1: Healy, 2: Strauss 3: Ross 4: Cullen 5: Toner 6: McLaughlin 7: Jennings 8: Heaslip 9: Boss 10: Sexton 11: Nacewa 12: Madigan 13: BOD 14: McFadden 15 Kearney.

Taken from the Ultimate Rugby App didn't see it anywhere else.

Bench of Cronin, McGrath, Hagan, Roux, Ruddock, Cooney, Goodman, Conway

I would have gone Ruddock at 6, Jennings at 7 and Ryan on the bench. McLaughlin has been sluggish of late.

Yikes if that's true this just got a good bit tougher. SOB and Darcy are two huge losses.

Not a big fan of the Madser to 12 thing either.

I honestly think Madigan will fare well in the centre. Losing Seanie is a big blow however, he takes so much ball for us.

Worried about the backrow selection, Ruddock on the bench doesn't have the same physical impact as Dippy does IMO.
Selection seems to be to win the breakdown with 3 canny operators in Locky, Jennings and Heaslip and stifle Biarritz potential for quick ball.

Ruddock is far more physical than Dippy... He just doesn't have the, eh, 'finesse' Dippy has. Ruddock is a more abrasive player, and is a good bench option imo.

This has suddenly turned into a game we can only win if we use the ball cleverly. We won't be dominating them in any way I feel.

If we had scraped by as 8th place from the pools and we went to Clermont with that team we'd be snookered, so I guess I don't feel that bad. ;)
