I have a no-name 7" WM8650 800MHz tablet since Sept 2011, that came with firmware from Eken, for a M009S, although I don't know if it is made by them, I suspect not.

    Since then I have tried:

    an updated firmware from Eken
3 versions of an unofficial firmware (Uberoid) (installs to internal flash, wifi performance seems improved)
I can also boot a version of Angstrom Linux from sd card. It needed a bit of tweaking to get wifi working, no touchscreen yet.
I can also boot a version of Debian. As yet no wifi or touchscreen.

    Anybody else been playing ?
