Oil Burner Question

    If a oil burner is not used for say 2 years would it seize up...cheers

    Probably not seized but capacitor will most likely be discharged. Motor could be stuck but a quick spin of the fan would loosen, obviously power off.

    +1 I have had quiet a few faulty capacitors in the last few weeks.(even had a faulty one on a new burner:mad: and a faulty new spare capacitor :mad: in the last fortnight)
    A faulty capacitor would sound similar to a seized motor or pump.
