    Quiet Boy - Phinal Phantasy

Just heard this for the first time and it really grabbed me. Short and sweet. Simple but effective. And other clichés that imply awesomeness.

Give Me Back My Man by the B-52's

I've been reaquainting myself with the B-52s lately via Youtube. This is one of their tunes form the ealy '80s. Great vocals from Cindy Wilson. Great guitarwork from her brother Rick. His guitar was an important component to their sound in their first 10 years, and, sadly, he was to succumb to Aids later in the '80s.

So, a bit haunting looking at that video.

For me today's song is Enjoy the Ride or Riverbed from Morcheeba's new album River Deep.

The first three songs are absolutely stunning, each completely different, and all are incredible. The album is very good, harking back to their good days.

    Cheers

Really? I was a couple of clicks away from buying it the other day but I read some really varied reviews, must of them slating it tbh.

I'm a huge fan of their earlier stuff and Big Calm is one of my favourite albums but I feel that they've kinda lost their way as of late.

The album overall is ok to good. The first three songs are stunning as i said. The 5th song, could have been on Massive Attack's Blue Lines. The brothers are back on track a lot more with this album.

Just to keep it in the vein of what this thread is - Todays song is
Alabama 3 - Peace in the Valley
