Moving to Newbridge in a few weeks. working in Blackrock
looks like it'll have to be

    Train from Newbridge to Heuston
90 Bus from Heuston to Tara St
Dart from Tara St to Blackrock

    - what's the ideal ticket to buy? will one cover all three modes of transport?

    - does the 90 bus take long go go from Heuston to Tara St at 8am in the morning?

    - alternative to getting train is CIE bus but that would take longer - although it would cut out the need for the 90 bus

    - I'd consider car pooling if someone was driving that way

any info on this would be appreciated

If you are travelling every day then a weekly long hop bus and rail at €50 would probably be best. they can be used on Bus Eireann, IE and DB.

The 90 is still very slow, 20-30 minutes there are some bus lane sections on the north quays but the buses get stuck on the other sections.

If I was going to drive that journey every day I would avoid the city altogether and go over the mountains.

    90a or 90; takes on average 25mins

The Newbridge - Heuston Arrow service is expected to be doubled in the next year or so.

Some people find the bus to Busaras more practical. From the middle of next year you will be able to use Luas on the Red Cow - Heuston - Connolly section.

With the Medium / Long Hop tickets, your employer (not you) can get Monthly and Annual tickets that you can use tax / BIK-free.

Also, your ticket will be valid for any journeys you make for business / pleasure within the designated area of your ticket (check to see if Kildare - Dun Laoghaire is any more expensive than Newbridge-Blackrock).

Some annual tickets are also valid on Nitelick, not that it will help you getting to Newbridge.

Are there any private operators providing a semi-direct service?
