Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I got bored quite quickly with Trevors book, did he disclose what was said to him by the Ulster fan, I was scanning for it but he went off on some tangent following the incident with very little details on what actually happened.

What other books are up for it ?

The only others I've read recently were Austin Healys and the Irish Rugby in the Modern Era one (good read imo)

    McPanda/Sunset V,

Have you any affiliation whatsoever to this book?

Reading Brennans book at the moment. Really enjoying it, probably moreso seeing as I am from Leixlip also, and played for Barnhall when I was younger.

He was royally screwed over by the IRFU.

In the recent few months I've read Moss Keane's book, Brennan's book and From There to Here as well. Brennan's book is interesting but he does go on a bit like. From There to Here is very educational, and a good read to boot. In the aftermath of France it gives some insight's to Eddie and the way he manages...

Couldn't find a copy of Hook's autobiography, seems to be gone out of print.

From There to Here gets my pick, I found it much more interesting than Brennans, which isn't a bad book, just a little dull.

You'd feel there's a lot more to 'From There to Here' that couldn't be published - it's a really decent read like.

Yeah, but is effectively covering 10-12 years, dipping in and out of stories, enjoyable read and a good one for recent rugby converts.

The excerpt someone posted here of Brennan's book was enough to put me off. Didn't he say he thought he should have gotten at least 20 more caps?

"Time added on" - I have it at home, it's a good read - especially the parts about how closely he and EOS worked over the years.

Yeah, I tried the local bookshop which normally is very very good but they told me it was out of print.

If you don't mind second hand (and the postage making it quite expensive) - you can get it here.
