Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Salthill driving range. Still open?

    Anyone know what the story is with this place? Was under new management a few months ago but now it seems to be closed completely or at least has very limited opening hours. Have been there twice now and closed both times?

    Mod Could this be posted in golf forum too?

    Don't know about salthill but was in cregmore park lately and their range was open.

    The driving range was certainly open just before Xmas anyway. I was there and it was very much open. Try Glenlo Abbey either if Salthill has since closed.

    I'd say it's just closed as the weather has been so bad. The whole range is probably flooded, so they wouldn't even be able to pick up the balls.

    As far as I remember during winter they have select opening hours.

    Perimeter netting damaged due to the winds. For Insurance reasons cant open till rectified.

    I spoke to the manager yesterday. He said he hoped it would be open by the end of the week.

    Obviously the guy who told me that it was closed and that the owner was in NAMA was wrong then.

    Let us know when it opens up again.

    The range is in Nama as far as I know. But the guy that used to own it, is running it for Nama. There's a lad in there day to day running/managing it. He's the guy I spoke to.
