That makes no sense. Taker losing to Wyatt does not make The Streak a farce. It's something that will never be forgotten. People are more likely to forget this match than they are about a. The Streak and b. The man who conquered it. 2 loses in 23 wrestlemaina's is a hell of a record. Not saying that Wyatt will win but if he does Wyatt becomes "the new face of fear" like he has been saying, Taker doesn't get harmed and he goes to what will be his last WM next year to win in his home state. It's a win-win. Taker losing is, IMHO, better than Taker winning. No-one gains anything from a Taker win.

While Brock is in WWE then nobody else is beating Taker. He will always be the only one as long as he remains in the WWE. That's just the way it is. I think you're reading way too much into this "match" thats not even important enough to be built as a match by the WWE. Taker has been deliberately kept off TV to peak people's curiosity which will carry it on the night. The thing is really only being promoted as 'i wonder how Taker will look'. After Mania Taker heads home with his cheque for another year and in 2 weeks time Bray will be randomly feuding with someone else

He will always be the one who beat The Streak regardless. Even if Taker does lose (I don't think he will mind you, this is all hypothetical) it's not going to change anything about Brock. He beat The Streak, he has been undefeated since Extreme Rules almost 2 years ago. Brock is a special attraction anyway and The Streak just adds to that. Wyatt winning cements him as the guy who people should be afraid of. It just makes storyline sense. Again, that's just my opinion on that. If Wyatt win it does not discredit Brock beating The Streak.

And sure wrestling is all about getting people interested in a match. We have the storyline of Wyatt wanting to prove he is the new face of fear and we have the "I wonder what Taker will look like, how good will he be in the ring etc". Nothing wrong with Taker coming and collecting his paycheck, he is part of the Wrestlemania appeal regardless and as for Wyatt feuding with someone else that's not a bad thing either. Let that happen! I want to see Wyatt in new feuds so it's not a bad thing.

    Rusev/Undertaker/Lesnar/Sting/rollins accumulator for me.

On Lesnar, Bryan, Cena and Rollins at 11s. backed it the night when Lesnar's contract extension first broke so i think its around 5/1 now

Would be great for him to win it if he's retiring. I'd have no problem with that

managed to get 27.40 on Sheamus at 5s about half an hour ago, tried to do more but that was the max bet! (ladbrokes)

also have a saver on Big Showat 2/1, followed the money just incase

Odds changing like crazy; some really surprising odds-on favorites now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,982 ✭✭✭Degag

Taker, Lesnar and Rollins really gone out now. Sting surprisingly gone into 7/2 from 7/1.

What's going on with the odds? Just put a double of a fiver on Sting and Reigns winning (both highly likely to win) - could win €122. A double of a fiver on Ziggler and Ryback winning worth €750.

Why has Hunter suddenly become favourite to win? They are hardly going to have Sting lose his first and possibly only WWE match?

What I meant earlier was 1/7

The only thing I can think of is Trips to win screwy by DQ. Sting now 4/1. Incomprehensible that he would lose his first match though. Especially at Mania.

I wonder if it's some kind of dodgy finish between Sting and HHH to setup a rematch at Extreme Rules.
Odds don't change wildly like this for no reason. The insiders have got involved. The odds before the show starts are correct 95% of the time. Even for Lesnar-Taker, where allegedly only a small group of people knew the result; the odds shifted heavily towards Lesnar in the last couple of hours.

  • Registered Users Posts: 498 ✭✭Pinkman

Sting bets have been suspended now.

Rusev 10/1 is mad as well.

    Taker out to 1/50 now.

Regarding last year - yes, Lesnar was 14/1 or more late Sunday night but suddenly came into 2/1 maybe 3/1. Something was definitely up at that point.

I've had a bet on Sting. I highly highly doubt they'll do a screwy finish to set up a future match - this is a one and only.

  • Registered Users Posts: 498 ✭✭Pinkman

Reigns now at 7/1. This is ridiculous at this stage.

A fiver on Rusev, Reigns and Sting gives returns of €1,620. WWE must be tipping them off otherwise they are going to lose a fortune.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,221 ✭✭✭✭J. Marston

Just did a €1 accumulator that pays back €8600.

    I'm quietly confident.

Got 9/2 on Reigns with Betfair, Brock is 1/10.

Cant bet with Paddy since I work for him :pac:

Scratch that - the odds are changing so rapidly that a fiver on the three of them will get you €9,392.

Off work tomorrow so I'll have a look at this. Just had a fun bet on Sting at 5/1 for interest after seeing almost all previews written earlier saying they thought he'd win. Looks like the insiders might know differently but we'll see :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,949 ✭✭✭A Primal Nut

Looks like the insiders got it wrong about Sheamus. Maybe they saw him backstage and assumed he would win the battle royal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

Orton was 5/1 to win that, Rollins 1/10!

gives me great hope with my bet :D

He went in to 1/10 a few hours before it started and was the same price prior to the bell ringing.

There's a lot of clear favourites on this show so money could be made:
    CDePSVDW0AEhmLm.png

I don't know what the rules are if Bryan gets removed from the match but Bryan is still the clear favourite to win. Cena is a heavy 1/12 favourite to beat a 5/1 Rusev too. I see the US title open challenge to be an ongoing thing on TV but a chain match is a good way for Cena to lose without getting pinned - as with a lot of stipulation matches.

Do we all agree that outright betting favourite Roman Reigns is winning and cashing in on Sunday?

    CHEhSoOW8AAeGLT.png

He'd look ridiculous carrying around the briefcase for months.

Also Brock Lesnar is coming back soon as literally an anti-Authority babyface.

And they just suspended betting on Reigns cashing in. Went from 20/1 to 9/1 to suspended in a few minutes.

    Kofi into 4/1 to win?

    DAFUQ?

There's dreamers online who think Kofi will win and Brock will beat Kofi for the briefcase on that Tokyo card.

If you watched Raw and Smackdown they've dropped enough cute hints that if he wins there will be loads of people who will say "Ha! told ya"

    For the value in it

Orton is at home tonight and is 5/6 to go over Sheamus.

I think thats great value as he's lost a lot of momentum but is still a massive face probably only behind Lesnar in terms of how over he is.

Also I think Rollins will retain by DQ

So Brock to win through DQ or clean pin is decent at 4/7 as Rollins won't retain clean.

Both on PP and can be doubled.

    Edit**

Done some digging and Skybet have Orton @evens and Lesnar @8/11 far better and can be doubled for 2.45/1

PP also have a market for Authority interference in the Lesnar/Rollins match.

    1/2 yes, 6/4 no.

Like I said on the Battleground thread, think Show might interfere but not sure which way. He'll be an authority member since he hasn't got a match tonight.
