Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

How many keys do you have on your keychain?

and if you lost your keys, how much would it cost to replace them

car keys can be around 80 euro and some door keys are pricey. plus if you have a gym membership barcode thingy.

was wondering the average cost of replacing your full set of keys

I MEANT TO ADD THE OPTION TO MULTIPLE ANSWER ON THE POLL. CAN A MOD FIX THIS?

I have 3 keys, front door, post box and main door, beer opener, 8gb usb key and a finder tag where it gets sent to my insurance company who will send it back to me (I wonder!!).

Prob cost ~€50 to replace the lot!

The poll shows failure as I should be able to select more than one option. For shame OP, for shame.

My car key recently broke and it cost me €250 plus VAT to just get a new key fob and then had to pay €35 to get the new key blade recut. Pricey pricey!!

You've made me face up to my secret shame - my set of keys are ridiculous.

    I have:

    - My front door keys, top and bottom lock - fair enough.

    - My family home front door key - which I have never used, preferring instead to ring the doorbell until I drive my little sister demented and she lets me in.

    - My old college house key - I haven't lived there in 2 years.

    - Front and back door keys for my ex boyfriends old college house - he hasn't lived there in 2 years.

    - A gym membership barcode - for a gym I have never used.

So, if I were to actually replace all keys, etc. it would cost roughly €173, including the 6 month membership special offer I have.

If I were to replace keys I use on the other hand, it would cost €13.

Hmm... I think its time to get energetic and do a spring clean!

What happens if you loose your gym membership key fob? .... Do they rape you for a new one?

    3. House key, in-laws house key and my bike lock.

I have a separate keyring for my car key. Means that I don't have to bring it with me when I go out drinking or go to work.

Cost of replacing, nothing. I have multiple spares for all three.

car key (no idea how much, probably enough that i would be pissed off)
front door key (4 euro to replace)
work key fob (15 euro to replace)

    its a nice light keychain.

i have other keys that i put on and off the chain as necessary. dont use them alot so dont see the need to keep them on it.

Just out of interest, how many of you guys are retired?

I only have my front door key. So I presume it wouldn't cost much to replace.

Will soon have apartment key though. And next year (hopefully) a car key.

Garage door key, front door, car, keylock box. I think that is it. Saw a biometric deadbolt in the hardware shop yesterday, I want. :)
