Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Does anyone know if you had 2 winter tyres on the front and 2 summer/regular tyres on the back, would the NCT fail you.

My 2 fronts are a bit worn but I have 4 new Winters in the garage thought of changing the over.

Check the NCT manual - as long as there isn't a mismatched pair of tyres on the same axle then it won't fail

It won't be a fail on NCT, but if you have 4 winters in the garage, why don't you put on all 4?

It'll be fine, I had that on a car and it passed fine.

Just bought an other car, needs to be nct'd, the wheels on the other car are the same size and as I have a winter set for the other car, thought I might stick them on for the nct.

The front tyres are a bit worn and I'm not sure if I want to keep the new car, I got it at a very good price, might sell, might not but if I can keep costs down to be nct'd so as to get it on the road then my options are open.

Sorry CionO the penny is just dropping, putting 2 on is easier than 4 and they would be coming off straight away and going on the other car.

The new car is a Sunday car if you know what I mean.
