Great to see a new server already up and running so quick, I'm working on a way to recover the old map, but don't have an update on it just yet.

Yea, the one we were all working on up till yesterday. For now, I'd suggest we plough on with the new one on the new IP and see a new metropolis spring up

As it's now a new server, thank you guys, I have a suggestion.

I think Creeper damage should be restored to default.
I know it's a bummer when creepers destroy your stuff,
but with the normal default damage it would definitely encourage building community defenses, towers etc.
Also, it would also encourage building on a smaller scale within the defended areas such as spawn.
Using half-slabs is a good way to prevent normal Creeper destruction as when they blow up it only destroys the half slab they are standing on.

It would make the server more challenging, but who doesn't like a good challenge.

I'm off building a big tower thingy at 450 X 70 in case anyone runs across it. Going to need all the stone in the world to make it, at least it'll keep me busy...

I'm also planing a structure and i'm going to need all the sand in the world :P

For some reason I'm much more motivated in this map than the old one

Aaaaand the Fail Brigade has had a strong start today :rolleyes:

Someone butchered 99% of the cattle in the town farm, so no more leather until further notice. If anyone suddenly starts asking huge amounts for leather due to this I'll assume they did it and BanHammer shall be swung. I don't like profiteering via griefing and won't tolerate it on this server.

Which brings me to the next problem. With breeding disabled in town the farm is important again... but its dangerous to get to at night due to bad lighting exacerbated by some of the torches having been swiped. No-one can replace or upgrade the lighting though, as the area south of spawn has had its permissions messed up - no-one can place blocks there :rolleyes:

Inventory Tweaks - Provides inventory sorting(Like in Tekkit).
StatusEffectHUD - Shows current effects without having to open the inventory.
ArmourStatusHUD - Displays the uses left in armour/tools.
REI's MiniMap - Displays a minimap, Allows you to set waypoints for easy navigation.
Optifine - Makes Minecraft run much better.

Having some really weird problems, server is spitting out errors and deleting files. Gonna back everything up before trying to fix it just in case. Gonna take about 20 minutes probably.

basically you were losing anything you had done when you logged out.

adhon lost about 30min of game time. Thankfully I was only on five min when I decided to re-log to see what would happen. So only lost 1 diamond and a couple of stacks of sand.

I thought the damage done to part of electro's village was bad until I walked back to spawn and saw what had happened to Dinty's :eek:
