Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    HI,

I know that having carpet and wood flooring is not the best with UFH but thats what the woman wants and that what she is getting!

Can someone point me in the right direction on where i get carpet and flooring that is best to use with UFH. I know the TOG should be below 2.5 but how can i tell if it is or not.

I was looking at a BIG thick carpet and the sales man told me that it was OK for UFH and when i asked him that the tog of the carpet was he told me he didnt know. He called over another sales man and he said it was 4 and OK for what i wanted. when i told him it had to be under 2.5 he said o ya thats what i meant to say!

Would you consider wood effect tiles for some of the floors? i have seen these installed on a few underfloor jobs and as long as the tiler is good they look excellent afterwards and impress most people when they realise its a tile floor not a wooden one.
    Heres an excellent example http://www.trendir.com/archives/004062.html

But you need a really excellent tiler who will take his take to do it right.

As for the carpets i personally prefer not to have carpets but the underfloor will work ok , Trust your instincts though the plusher/fluffier the carpet feels its more likely to have a higher tog
