    Hi Lads,

    I have a 02 BMW 318ci.
    Few weeks ago the aircon fan stopped working, so when I switch on the aircon the fan doesn't come on and nothing works.
    Does anyone know how this can be fixed? Could it be a fuse, new fan etc?

    Many thanks in advance!

    Does it work on full speed only, or not at all?

    Sounds like the final stage resistor, check out;

    Doesn't run at all regardless of the speed setting.
    I'm hoping it's a simple fix and not a fan replacement.

    Form what I've read the symptoms of a faulty final stage resistor seem to be fan working intermittently, this doesn't work at all so could it still be the resistor?

    Have you replaced the fuse ?

    Might just need a regas, that's presuming you are on about the air con and not the heater blower.

    Thanks for the replies so far.
    I'm going to check the fuse later today.
    It's the blower, the aircon adjusts the temperature correctly so when travelling a high speeds I can feel the cold/hot air etc.

    That makes no sense at all to be honest.
