Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Simple, complete and utter lack of accountability. If you can't fire the Civil Servants for incompetence, then they have no reason to even try and be competent at their jobs.

margaret is driving a beautiful red beamer a bit of a guzzler, then again she can afford it

Oh dear god, these poor deluded civil servants.. They've "asked" the builders not to be bold and by gumm they expect them to be... Can you imagine if a private trader (like me) tried the same stuff with the Revenue... it's an disgrace..

Why didnt they just give the head of NAMA job to Pat Neary ffs..

You can only hope. Until sufficient numbers of Irish people get sufficiently angry and refuse to pay to bail them out, we're all going to keep getting financially raped by them.

Frank Daly is too old, too much a part of the furniture, and way too tame for this job... They need to get rid of him and get a real B*STARD in there to do the job properly...

Seeing the opening of the National Convention Centre and the smugness of them all . Hopefully the IMF sort all this out as it's their money that will be going down the swanny from here on in.

You think jacobs would have had the cop on to pull their stupid "stairbogganing" ad in light of what happened in Cork....

Pat's gonna get stuck in to the issue now.. RTE still sticking with the "Gerry who?" policy I guess..

Those builders and their wives need to have finacial pain inflicted on them, they deserve a severe bankrupting and then rinse every shilling out of the cu'nts. All of them photographed with Bertie Ahern, someone should get him prison cell.

Who still believes that Fianna Failure were not looking after their developer paymasters?

THIS is what happens when you vote for corrupt gombeens. Any chance the voters will learn their lesson?
    NO

damn civil servants, putting the country in hoc.

    oh, wait...

I dont think civil servants are naive, i do think some are afraid of their masters. course, new masters are on the way, so we'll see wht happens then.

Overall, my impression is the NAMA employees have the same desire for revenge justice as the majority of the populace.

My blood is boiling already... How come the state always inevitably gets the worst possible deal for the taxpayer...

This clip always comes to mind when our chronic systematic failures in govt and civil service are revealed once more. (click watch on youtube)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,775 ✭✭✭Spacedog

What if 'someone' killed all of these guys wives?

Presumably the assets would be returned to the developers and could not then be transfered again now that NAMA is in effect.

Never mind me, just plantin' seeds here...

Didnt see this yet but from reading this thread it will be some infuriating stuff. I particularly look forward to the smug teacher...

Anyway I dispair, I really do...Newstalk has done a localised political survey today and finds that FF will be the second biggest party with forty-something seats, FG on 62....Un-f*ckin-believable!:eek::eek:

Actually you know what, it is very believable. You get the government you deserve. This country is inhabited by absolute morons and idiots.

Is that the Kings of Leon one? Don't know the name of the actual song, though.

Im not sure, I would know most Kings of leons commercial hits but sure its possible its them.il definitly check it out!

    Thanks for the lead.

BTW I study business and law and know of EXISTING legislation in this state that can legally stop the NAMA developers from transfering whatever to the wife, its one of the maxims of equity:

Equity will not allow a statute to be used as a cloak for fraud

Equity prevents a party from relying upon an absence of a statutory formality if to do so would be unconscionable and unfair.

Pretty sure it's not Kings of Leon, had previously got it confused with a bit of "Radioactive", post the track name if you do figure it out and I'll do likewise, cheers
