Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Channel 5 and their 'Benefits' themed programme fetish

I like watching these kind of programmes generally but Channel 5 are really tearing the hole out of it with their 'Benefits and Bypasses' programme next Tuesday week the 7th. Every week seems to bring a new 'Benefits' themed series. C4 are current running 'Britains Benefit Tenants' and the Beeb have also gotten in on the act as well. With the success of 'Benefits Street' C5 obviously believe that sticking on the word 'Benefits' to a title it generates added eyeballs. Recently they renamed TV3's Darndale: Edge of Town as 'Benefits Estate'.

But surely 'Benefits and Bypasses' is a real low and you have to wonder what is left? And is all this in reality just bringing Jeremy Kyle from daytime to primetime programming?

Hmm I see you have some themed bees in your bonnet! :pac:

You're right though, its become painfully obvious that channels 4 and 5 are now riffing relentlessly on other peoples misery in the name of very cheap "click-bait" programming.

At some point a well paid Tristram commissioning editor is going to propose a regional fights - as Georgies take on Scousers and Chavs face off Eastenders with a champion "benefits bum" fight to be staged live in the O2 with Davina McCall hosting.
