Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Has anyone heard anything about general service recruitment to the army this year or when it will begin! The competitions section told me they probably wouldn't be using last years panels after the first week in January! And has anyone any idea how many people will retire before the new pension rules come in in feburary?

I'm afraid to say and I reckon the DF will not adhere to the rules of the expiration date on lists and just draw from them when they are allowed instead of hosting a new competition. Financially and Logically it would make sense even if it means breaking the rules :(

I doubt it. They called people off the panel for recruitment at the start of December. They were required to redo Medicals and Fitness again. So how much did they save interviews would cost the defence forces nothing to run.

Also they managed to make a balls by reusing the panel. On atleast one occasion they called a lad, made him redo the fitness he passed, recalled him for medical did all the bits and bobs grand, then they seen he was over the age limit and he was told go home.

Financial and Logistically it makes sense to wipe the slate clean and start a fresh.
