Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

i wouldnt eat out of that place if the burgers were free

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,201 ✭✭✭witnessmenow

I ate there Monday, had a smoked stack or something, was pretty nice, definitely worth more than €2 in fairness.

Chips are €3, so if you are hungry just buy a second burger :) (you are only allowed 2)

Used to go watch the Champions league games on a tues in local with lads. We were a minute away from Eglinton st. Branch so would do a collection around the bar and phone up an order for about 20 burgers for half time. Quality.. 2 euro deal used to be on a tues, didn't realise they had changed it

Not sure about the negative opinions.... Been to Rockin Joes in Galway a few times on a Tues. Couldn't fault it - Burger, fries and milk shake for a tenner. By far I much prefer it over McDonalds and spending €9 on their food...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,014 ✭✭✭✭Corholio

Burgers are still pretty nice in there. Seem to actually get more in there now for your money than Eddie Rockets, although that wouldn't have been hard. Got one of the fries with sour cream and was way more than Eddie Rockets would have served.

Oh crikey yes - The Smoke Stack kicks serious bottom.

Ah - according to their on-line menu it's called the Smoke House these days.

Do they deliver if you order online or is it just collection? Website isn't very clear on that.

How shall we fcuk off, O Lord? I was planning on climbing to about 30 stone, Sumotori-style, on Rockin' Joe's finest, then shítting myself thin in a sudden explosive frenzy much in the manner of Eyjafjallajökull. Their may be some air-travel delays.

They have been running this deal for a few weeks.

While it was busier than you would expect for a Monday in Wellpark Galway, it wasn't over run.

I did see people ordering normal stuff (like no burgers), our table ordered nothing but burgers :o

Will you kindly tell to me, what is normal about this "no burgers" malarkey?? :D

As in stuff not on special offer, their "normal" price! I wouldn't be there if the burgers were not €2 :)

I think there is better places to eat for the kind of money the food is normally. G Counter right next door for example!
