Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

2fm....Not on the effing playlist

    This one caught me eye in the RTE Guide for tonight....."A group of 2fm djs go off the playlist reservation to bring you their favourite tunes" . !! Why bother having any djs if you're stuck with a playlist.

    They probably have specifics that their not allowed play. E.g. % of Irish music, % trad, % pop etc and whereas there they probably were allowed mix it up more as they weren't limited by the programme allocations.

    Full edit of a track with a lot of cursing in it at 9:13pm. Not uncommon on other stations in recent years but 2FM was still fairly limited in terms of profanity. Predicting a litany of moaning from The Journal commenters or their ilk!

    this show was a bad idea as it emphasises to the non-anorak that a predictable playlist exists on 2FM. before this was not the case.

    Most commercial stations use playlists.

    2FMs is only more noticeable than others because of their desperation to appeal to younger listeners making the list quite restrictive

    nearly all stations have playlists. radio people are always saying things like 'Don't break the format!'.
