Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Internal sliding door between dining and sitting room

    hi
    im hoping someone can point me in the right direction. Im looking to put a sliding door between dining and sitting room. It would be a large double door and it would need to slide into the internal plasterboard on one side only. ive looked online and so far can only find 2 single doors that both slide. If i got the door made, im wondering if i could buy the rail? anyone any ideas.

    they are called a pocket door look on google to see the parts. Also videos on YouTube showing them being installed.

    Pocket doors. We're getting one. Look at Hafele, Eclisse and Henderson for starters.

    Great thanks for the suggestions. Websites very helpful. Im trying to get a double sliding door in one piece so they all seem to do 2 single doors. Ill give them a call.

    your sliding door can be of any size you decide if you get it made by a joinery
    you can always attach 2 doors off the shelf to make your door move as one if you need a cheaper option
    the sliding mechanism; coburn and henderson are the most common in ireland, you decide on has to be long enough and strong enough to take the weight, so the weight of door or doors and width are the deciding factors there, the sliding into a pocket is achieved by building a stud wall
