Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Lol no, the second girl is only 16..the first girl was 22 when she competed that, at the 1956 Olympics.
It's just showing how much gymnastics has changed..the skill shown there by the first gymnast would be done by 5 year olds now and the same thing can be said for floor, bars etc. Larisa Latynina is the first gymnast, of the Soviet Union, whose Olympic record total of medals Phelps has just beat..that's where you might have heard her name. The second gymnast is McKayla Maroney of USA.
The first vault is just turning sideways onto the vault and landing. The second vault is a backhandspring onto the springboard (this style was invented in 1984) then launching backwards from the vault, twisting two and a half times and somersaulting one and half times. The second vault was invented in 2000. The irony is that the second girl did not win the vault title, because she sat down her second vault. She got silver though, and almost got gold. That particular vault is shown because it is the best of its kind ever done, she gets a foot higher than anyone else doing it- even the men who have the vault set higher up than women- and always lands totally upright (because it's so difficult, many of them land badly doing it and barely stop twisting in time..lots of torn ACL's and dislocated knees on this vault). That's all the mystery there.0 -

Mountain Dew ran a competition on their website to name the new Mountain Dew drink. 4chan got together and resulted in such names in the top 10 as "Hitler Did Nothing Wrong", "Fapple", and "Grannies Squirt".

I see the pic is called 'tits on this'. Is that the 'joke' or is it in relation to something else.
I saw this one discussed below but I still cannot see why it is funny? Is it an American pie/Band Camp joke?
