€800 for a machine running on a raspberry pi.
He is trying to justify his cost in the 80hours labour.
In fairness he is using a CRT which is better than half the mame cabinets out there with LCDs

Released in 1985.

Only if you had a time machine son, European NES was released in 1986.

Check the model number, that and the 1985 year must mean its the first model off the line, maybe even a prototype

Not sure how a time machine would help ?

He/She would have to infiltrate Nintendo and persuade senior management to bring forward the European release date ?
The time machine bit is plausible enough but the chances of a 'paddy' getting to the upper echelons of a very conservative Japanese company back then is quite frankly ridiculous.
