the clip joint thing has been seriously cracked down on over in London. No where near as common, I think there are only 2 or 3 places left now, and they would be under serious pressure from the authorities. Never heard of it operating over here, there have been a few shady places over the years though.

Be careful when abroad though. I've a mate who was over in Poland with other friends of his and the scam was attempted on them. The lads basically said to the bouncers "come on then, lets be having ya" kinda thing and it kinda blew over after a bit, the lads were kacking it though, as they might be big blokes but were well oiled and really didn't fancy their chances
