Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Management job advice

I have been working in retail for the past three years as a sales assistant. I love retail and would like to be a retail manager. There's no positions available in my company as the minute so my best bet it to just leave and look for a trainee management job elsewhere. Does anyone know which companies would b good for career progression from entry level to trainee management or what company has trainee management programme.

I have a degree in management which is pretty useless so if anyone is a manager please tell me your story on how you progressed to your management role and to give me any advice or guidance on what to do next?

This is well worth looking at...

I'm not in retail myself but the package looks quite good. Decent wages, decent holidays, and an Audi.

You see I don't have the 2.1 and that's minimum what's needed so unfortunately that won't help.

Maybe Store Manager or Assistant Manager would be a better fit.

But I have no team lead or management experience? Will that matter ?

Of course it would help but I think your experience and qualification may be attractive.

For trainee roles there are quite a few around if you just google trainee manager retail Ireland...

I'd suggest trying to make contact with the big groups Aldi, Dunnes etc...
