    Hi,

    Can anyone tell me if my sons (9&7) can play in split screen mode through the same tv/ps3/downloaded game. If so can you give me a step by step guide to doing so. I have tried having both controllers on, pressing start on second controller when one is playing and neither works. Have the ps3 connected to hd TV with an hdmi cable.

    Thanks in advance, the taking turns is becoming more about me refereeing!

    Yes you can .The method you describe should work though.

    Exactly what we do is

    - start game in one player
    - turn on 2nd controller
    - press start on controller 2
    - screen pops up asking to join / search other players so press circle
    - press start on controller 2

    And that should be it but there is an update recently so maybe that changed . I will check for definite tomorrow when the kids go on it
