I fessed up on Brandy and Cigars about one of my proudest moments.

Remember the Disney Classic Bambi - well I bought the trousers genuine 100% deerskin trousers with tassles - Ralph Lauren.Well you never know when Bono will pop in for a chat.Even got a linen shirt to go with it with wooden buttons.

Thing is when I got them home my girlfriend winced " Im not going out with you blah blah blah" . The kids blanched.

Now I think they are great - maybe a tad retro but I've worn them out a few times .

I have leather coats, some cowboy boots -Aldo so they are stylish- but sometimes I just want to be a bit flamboyant.

Anyone else bought items of clothing out there that is out there but gets up others noses.

I know it gets up the noses of the Green,Tree Hugging, You can't do that, Anti-smoking,We don't fry,'elf & Sayefty' ,Vegeterian,Dry****e, Jobsworth brigade.

It gives me a warm feeling inside to offend 'people' like that.:D:D:D

    No prob.
Visit the Classic Cars section of boards.
Look up the 'Post a picture of your classic car' thread.
On page 27 (I think), you will see yours truly & aforementioned car.

Best I can do at the minute.
Not very much into new tech stuff, I'm afraid.

    Man stuff.

    Thanks for that CDfm.
Obviously I'm into the music of the time, Hence the username.

Whosbetter? Senior was driving a similar type car in '74. (Triumph 2000).

Hard to find them these days, so the Rover seemed a good thing to have.

Always a fan of British Leyland, aside from the Austin Morris dross which brought the company down in the end.

Will try to post better pics when I learn a bit more about computers.:)

Correct,it was on Life on Mars, The Ripper had one & Princess Grace died in one.(not at the same time though:D).

They are known as the Rover P6 & were mainly available as a 4 cyl 2 litre.
A minority were fitted with 3.5 litre V8s.
    These are P6Bs.
These are a bit like the '70s equivilent of the BMW M5!

Sorry that this thread has gone off topic a bit.:o

Should start a new one, ie What was your Dad's coolest car?:D:D
