Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    hi folks.

Looking for a bit of advice. Has anyone come across a rear rack with integrated light for sale online. Similar to the one linked below. I have attachments for a rear rack to clip on a Cateye but its more to get something so as not to worry about having to take off a light each time a bike is locked.

I have a Ree light on the front and I could possibly get one for the rear but ideally an integrated rack one would be perfect.

I would think the integrated one would be vulnerable to damage and you'd be better off with another Reelight.

The problem with the Ree light is that unless I buy a set I can only buy the seatpost one on its own. Anything on the rack then obscures the light. This is for my wife who has recently been persuaded to cycle for short distances to shops ect so I am trying to make everything as easy as possible.

I have a Gazelle for tipping around which has an integrated rear light and never had an issue as it is flush with the rack and well protected. It came with the bike though..

edit.. Thanks. you got me thinking and I checked the Ree lights site again and it appears Ree lights now do a rack mounted rear led. See below

Would this be of any use? I bought and fitted one because the side pannier bags obscured my rear light.

Ooops sorry, it pays to read the full original post.

Busch and muller do bolt-on rear lights for carriers.

I've had battery integrated lights like that in panniers before. They were bright enough, and took AAs so the batteries would last about a month... but you needed a screwdriver to change them which was annoying.

Reelights are only really good as backup lights. They're not bright enough
