Calendar of significant sporting/cultural events

I've been planning small events (~400-500 people) and one thing I tend to spend time on is looking for specific dates to avoid due to soccer/GAA/concerts/etc/ I previously planned an event on the day of the all-ireland final. ouch. Is there any centralised place one could get this from?
