So the Big Bang Moved. And it looks Fantastic.
Went in today to wish the lads good luck. They have put in a lot of effort to create a slice of Comic Nirvana.

    And still no website yet?

I love supporting Irish, but for **** sake its 2015, get a bloody website. I've got into comic book stuff in the last year, as well as collecting pop vinyl, and all my money is going to amazon.

going to try make a concerted effort to get out to that shop for a look when I'm picking up another volume of Batman (new52). Maybe the idle browse will make it worthwhile anyway, just a bit of a trek.

Any general ideas from those who have been what sort of stock they are carrying for the New 52 volumes, and the pricing? I've been digital for last year or so, but moving into buying physical as I see the appeal now. Picked up Batman volume one for €20 in Easons, but amazon much better value. Would happily drop sheets in here if its a bit more competitive

Most of their Product is visible on the Facebook page. And they do their orders through email. And it appears to be working very well for them.

I would say they have whatever is in Print. They do keep very full shelves. And the only reason they would be lacking is if it is OOP.
Generally they match the Dollar Price on books. So what it says in $=€.
I would rate them as being better priced that Easons in my experience.

Very few Brick and mortar stores can compete with the internet. But Amazon can't give you a chance to Meet Mark Millar, Chip Zardasky. The chance to ask Warren Ellis a Question and have his answer Baffle you.
It doesn't run shows that bring the cream of Comic Talent to these shores to pose for pics and sign your wares.
I would say the Big Bang is possible one of the best connected stores on the planet these days.
They do a lot of Exclusive covers not available anywhere else. And have supported the homegrown Talent like no one else over the years.

They do a great delivery service with most orders being placed via Email.
And With Standing orders I believe there may be a Discount!
    Info@thebigbang.ie
Shoot them a Mail. They Should Be able to sort you out.

And their Monday Twitter feed is a wonderful indicator on if that book you're reading is going to stick around or not.

P.S Dublin City comics & collectables is quite good too. Love you guys as well. But today it's about The Big Bang.

I've only started back into comics and have been ordering by email as it is a bit of a trek for me also to get into them.

Anything relatively new they seem to be the same price as Amazon but the older stuff is cheaper on Amazon. No issues dealing with them at all but will try to get up for a visit

You said up further that you're relatively new to comics; if you're in the market for something new, ask for recommendations from the lads in there. I've read some amazing stuff that I probably never would have because of their recommendations!

Popped into the shop today, really impressive. Could have spent my bollox. Thankfully just picked up two Batman volumes from the new 52. Guy behind the till was sound and gave me a quick rundown on how the series is in terms of timelines.

Definitly going to move my purchasing to that store away from Amazon to support irish business. Very impressed with the pricing also

New place got mentioned on a American comic podcast i listen to. Comic conspiracy, knew who they were talking about and it was really weird them mentioning an Irish store.

Was it a good shout out?

All praise, bar the host's dislike of the big bang tv show but for the shop nothing but good things.
