Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

HDMI cable

    I have an empty conduit running from behind my receiver, under the floor and up the back wall to where I want to hang a projector. I want to run an HDMI cable through it and terminate in cleanly with some HDMI female sockets. I did the measuring and I would need a cable of roughly 10.15 meters, give or take a few cm either way. The conduit runs under the floors (hardwood floor + underfloor heating), so I can't be sure how deep it goes. I allowed for 10 cm on each side.

    I think a 10 meter cable might be cutting it too tight, a 10.5 meter cable should be enough. Where can I get a custom length cable, or is it possible to terminate it myself?

    The best I can find is 12.5 meters which is at least 2 meters too long. Would I damage the cable if I bend the excess and double it back into the conduit? The conduit is about 2-3 inches across, so not a lot of room.

    the excess will probably be the least of your worries, make sure you protect the connector ends as much as possible when trying to fish it through the conduit. the slightest bit of damage will render the cable useless. as for the excess, you should be able to loop it around and keep it tidy with some cable ties. - gently loop - not fold in half!
