This one or that one

I need a new car and am deciding between these two. I do approximately 300km a week. I know the sensible thing would be to go and have a look at them , but time is my enemy and they are both far from me and I don't have a car so I would probably take the first one I saw if it looked ok.

Any help, advice, comments greatly appreciated.

that sdi is a heap of junk - so little power you'll be burning diesel all day long just to get up to speed. the 1.6 is fine for your needs - will do 40mpg at a push

Yeah? whatcar.com and autoevolution both report 55mpg on the sdi, the bora 1.4:(

my apologies I didn't see 1.4 in the bora ad! The sdi is a non turbo diesel so I guess less to go wrong but it has similar torque and hp to the 1.4 with a narrower power band. It is more to tax as well. The 1.4 will do less mpg but fuel is not really a huge issue at 300km a week in the overall running costs of a car

Seriously tempted, aint it too cheap? i would love one of these but they normally start about 4,000 and then when you add in the tax, insurance etc.
