Just found this specification pdf on scan.co.uk which says it's MPEG-4 and MHEG5 so probably compatible and this on Hannspree own site.

I got one of these a couple of months ago and even though it said mpeg-4 and mheg-5 on box, couldn't get the digital teletext to work and got a refund from shop.

I picked up the SJxx model (should work with saorview, I haven't tested it) a couple of weeks ago in DID for ~€250 and have had no problems so far.
