Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

They signify that the salmon has been legally caught. When you buy a salmon licence you are issued with tags. When you catch and kill a salmon you have to put the tag through the gills and out through the mouth and fasten it closed. Then enter the details on your logbook. Once thats all done the salmon is legally caught, and a fishery officer will be happy. If a fishery officer finds someone in possession of untagged salmon, he won't be so happy ;)
Its not a perfect system, and there are a few loopholes for dishonest people to exploit, but it helps to identify illegally caught fish and enables other anglers to report illegal fishing without challenging the suspects.
