im just asking, because my sygate firewall has picked up 7 portscans so far in the last half an hour, and im not even connected to a server

Sygate has a backtrace thing so you can see where its coming from and all 7 port scan backtraces are coming from jolt

    heres just one backtrace

Sometimes net services will do scans for proxies when u connect, irc is a good example.
A list of the ports been scanned would give a clearer insight as to what is happening.

As im writing this now i have has 7 more port scans from jolt, who do i contact to get this stopped

Rev hellfire, I appreciate your advice but I believe this is just a little bit more than just a casual scan, this is only in the last 5 mins

Eh, just tell us what ports it is scanning. It probably is just checking for open proxies and the like.

I'm not too well up on the exact mechanics of anti-cheatware, but doesn't CheatingDeath etc. not use a specific port for comms with the game server or is it done through the game's port?
