Walking a puppy

I have a 4 month old cocker spaniel puppy called max. He is a super dog very friendly and always wants to play. I asked the vet could i walk him as he has had all his shots and is perfectly healthy and she said i could. When i went into the vets last week to pick up some food the burse behind the counter told me i shouldnt…

I asked the vet could i walk him as he has had all his shots and is perfectly healthy and she said i could. When i went into the vets last week to pick up some food the burse behind the counter told me i shouldnt walk him until he is 6 months old so he can build up more muscle to walk. Is it ok to walk him now ive walked him a couple of times already to socialise him and get him use to the lead for no longer than 20 minutes n he seemed fine.

Yes its perfectly fine to walk him now. Just make sure they are short walks, as pups arent able for long ones. The usual rule is 5 mins per month of age per day, so you pup can have 20 mins. This could be split up into 2 ten min walks.
