Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Does anyone have photos of the deck of this? Preferably without a train.

Was there once a public walkway on it?

No. It was originally double track with an opening span.

    Why would that be?

    I'm not a train spotter, I'm a railway spotter. :)

I'm looking for pics of the bridge, not a train. Pics of trains often tend to treat their backgrounds somewhat incidentally.

Thanks! Had a momentary flashback to the aborted idea in the 80s to terminate the western railway at Athlone. To hell and to Connaught you might say. :)

Would this photo from the O'Dea Collection be useful? I don't think it ever had a footpath on it, the wide formation dates back from the time of double track which people have mentioned. :)
