Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi All again :o

Fix one problem and onto the feckin next..

My 98 civic is not running right.
It's very rumbly especially when I put my foot down.
It seems like its not firing correctly.
It was like this a Few weeks ago but i got the spark plugs changed and it seemed to solve the problem (albeit temporarily).
The resistance of the leads was also checked and they gave descending values according to length of each lead. Also the distributor cap was cleaned out and the contacts were given a bit of a clean.

    Any ideas greatly appreciated.

    Sound.

Did you knock off metal from the contacts inside the cap?
If so id get anew cap and rotor and might aswell change the leads too.

Can you describe the rumble a bit better?

New cap and leads? Local Motor Factors or MicksGarage?

When I accelerate in any gear the car just sounds like its firing wrong and it doesn't accelerate as it should. It's very very sluggish. The engine sounds very rumbley and when you do accel it nearly kind of jumps. As if the car is running fine for a second or two and then back to running wrong.
I'd feel like I'm doing damage if I drove through the gears.
If I can, I might try upload a video if it would help.
