Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ofcom also reduced the maximum cancellation penalties that can be applied, a few months back.

It's something like 5 or 6 pounds a month now instead of companies being allowed to charge the full monthly rate for each remaining month of the contract.

Absolutely crazy that this is still permitted here.

These sort of small things should be priority number 1 for the new communications minister. I firmly believe that sorting out seemingly small issues like this will have a big effect in the long run and make the tougher obstacles easier to overcome.
Ban automatically renewing contracts and large cancellation fees, ban the ridiculous "unlimited" products that aren't actually unlimited, make the advertising of broadband speed more transparent and come down hard on dubious "upto" claims.

These few changes wouldn't be hard or expensive to make but they will force service providers to compete fairly.
