Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

First two sources to check should be :

    ACCA - www.accaglobal.com
    CIMA - www.cimaglobal.com

These are two well known accounting bodies. Both websites have detailed sections under students that should address most of your questions.

You could also try www.charteredaccountants.ie for ICAI, however this body is more specific for working in practice, whereas the other two lean more towards management accounting.

I personally would look at ACCA/CIMA (I'm ACCA qualified) as I found it easier to study at my own pace & they're well recognised qualifications, whereas ICAI tends to be more prevalent in the Big4. Edit: It's a very well respected qualification & some companies would look for this before either of the other two I mentioned, it can depend on the type of work you will be doing, the industry you work in, etc. ACCA & CIMA before it is purely my own preference.

If you have no interest in being an accountant, why in heavens name would you go spending the next 3 or 4 years studying for it and the rest of your working live doing it????
