Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Recommend a weekend away?

    Hi all,

I'd like to get two friends of mine a weekend away. They're a couple with kids - so probably something from Friday to Sunday.

It will be a surprise, so I'd rather book a package and not have to provide their passport details etc. It would also be handy if the dates were adjustable.

Can anyone recommend a travel agency to use? Where would be nice to send them? Probably not to far. Hope to spend around 500.

    Thanks!

I really think buying this as a surprise is a mistake unless you know exactly what commitments they have - who is going to mind the kids? etc

Nice idea but I think you'd be better off checking with them first even though you say dates should be adjustable I think you'll struggle to get a travel agent to book something open-ended.

I think Edinburgh is a lovely weekend destination and London is always good.

Thanks some good points there. I'm doing this because they did a big favour for me. I know if I tell them about it beforehand, they won't let me do it!

Is it possible to get vouchers for a travel agency?

I'd agree with schemingbohemia, I wouldn't book a holiday without notifying. Travel vouchers would be a good idea though. I'm not sure if travel agents do them although I'd imagine they would alright, you can certainly get flight vouchers from aer lingus and ryanair which would probably suffice.
