ROPES is a literary journal published every year by the students of the Literature and Publishing Masters in NUI Galway. This year, in its Twenty-First year, we are celebrating the theme of "coming of Age". All proceeds of the journal go to Jigsaw, a mental health awareness and prevention charity established for young people. We are currently taking submissions of poetry (at a maximum of three pages), and fiction and non-fiction prose (at a maximum of 2,000 words). All submissions should be made to ROPES.submittable.com by the 14th of January, 2013.

Any questions should be sent to ROPES.submission@gmail.com

    Get writing, and have fun!

I just wanted to bump this because the submission deadline is in just over a week. If you haven't already, consider submitting a piece.

What kind of poems are ye looking for? Any particular themes/core images?

The theme for the journal is "Coming of Age", and the connotations of that in the 21st Century. The theme is quite broad, and it's easy to have some fun with. For poetry, we have a maximum of 3 pages per author.

Cheers. I'll send on a poem or two this evening.
