Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm sorry to see that the original post has been locked but I'd like you to know Liz, as far as I'm concerned, you're welcome to Ireland.

I know you're looking forward to meeting me too.

If I could take up my point from our last chat I would still like to know who the traitor was who sold us down the river. You're being very shy about this. I might even say coquettish.

The question is simple and it's still the same. Which one of our Patriots done the deal to link our currency, the currency of our fledgling Free State, to Sterling? We had to put up with the Currency Board until 1943 (your rules I suspect). Give us a clue.

    Who sold us out?

    DitS.

    For gods sake.
This will no doubt be locked very shortly.

It made perfect sense to tie the currency to sterling. Granted stability.

Indeed. As I said in the original locking, there's room for another discussion closer to the date. While I recognise five or six days later is closer to the date, that's not quite what I meant.

As for your question, Dub in the Sticks, try the History & Heritage forum for an answer there. They cover 1928, when we got our own currency.
