I am in my final year of a science degree which will allow me to teach science and Biology in secondary school once I do the teaching post grad..
However I also want to teach French and have found a diploma that will allow me to teach that too.
Is this a feasible combination? Is there any reason I wouldn't be able to teach both Biology and French at second level? I've never heard of a combination like this before..

If you don't have a degree in French, I don't think the Teaching Council will register you, but check it out with them first.
The combination is not great. There are lots of unemployed French teachers. Could you add extra Maths to your Science degree?

Once you qualify with a PDE any subsequent degree you get recognised by the teaching council will permit you to teach.

Never heard of a Biology and French teacher. Try looking at EducationPosts.ie to see if any positions are available with that combination.

    I'm seeing a mismatch here! ;)

Check out in what exact contexts this diploma will qualify you to teach French. In particular, check the Teaching Council website / contact them if necessary.

A TEFL diploma is geared towards teaching English in specific contexts, but it won't qualify you to teach English in a secondary school, for example.
