Basically I can't log onto my old Dell 4600 on XpSp2 not 3. Because dumb old me has forgotten my password.
I have tried going in on Safe Mode but it still wants passwords, even for the supposed ADMINISTRATOR log on that doesn't need a password, is asking me for a password.
I bought a new machine 4 month ago and just can't remember my password. Now as it turns out work I did 2 years ago is needed now.
Any help would be so grateful.

as long as you haven't encrypted the filesystem , and almost no home user does, then you can simply reset the password using http://home.eunet.no/pnordahl/ntpasswd/

you can read the files with most non-windows live CD's
    ubuntu or puppylinux
