Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

They just don't make filums the way they used to (in the 1980's!!!)

Hello Again was on RTE last night (late late movie).

Check out the trailer...typical of trailers in the 1980's....when did they stop making trailers like these???!!! :D

    Working Girl...another classic!

And Baby Boom! Baby Boom...sigh (one of my faves!)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S4PDf4tir4E But I don't think this trailer really shows this film as the greatness that it is.

And since when, may I ask, did saxophones and aeriel views of New York stop becoming integral parts of opening sequences:confused::confused:

A lot of 80's films wouldn't be made today as they would be considered too non pc today or as in the case of films like Robocop they are made to appeal to everyone by making them pg13 and then they end up appealing to no one

I want to do a supercut of every 80's sax' moment in film history. It's one of the most strangely enjoyable things for me, is the 80's sax'.

Jezz I dunno, the sound track to lethal weapon is pretty naff.
