Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

New Car -> What to do

Hey guys, so I've been detailing to a small degree on my current car, a 2007 which has now outlived its use and is being traded this weekend for a new car.

Assuming the new car is pretty clean when I get it home Saturday, I have boxed a few hours Sunday to give it a first once over and I was hoping I'd get some tips on jobs that I can do now that will help me keep the car at its best.

My plan now is to de-tar, de-iron, wash 2BM, clay bodywork, wheels and glass, apply SRP and EGP. I've also got some Autoglym wheel seal I will put on top on the wheels.

How does that sound as a base to work from? Anything I should add? Particularly on the interior which I've never done a lot with on my current car.

    Plan should be to....

Wash with 2BM, de-tar, rinse, de-iron, rinse, clay, wash, rinse, dry, SRP, EGP, EGP again.
With the interior, I find that if you vacuum it regularly, things tend to look after themselves....every month or so, the plastics might need a light dressing or some marks on the doors given a bit of rub, along with the door jambs.
