Yes, no real need for a questionnaire like you say. I would still be interested to know average differences that have shown up in research.

I asked about research. You're just giving an opinion.

I've heard people say similar things about men and women: there aren't any differences and the counterexamples they give which they claim proves there point is that you can find women who play and follow rugby and football. I remain to be convinced that there aren't average differences in these areas - such supposed counterexamples don't prove there aren't average differences that could show up on probability density functions/distributions measuring such things (even if there is likely to be some overlap between the functions). Similarly I remain to be convinced there aren't some average differences between gay men and straight men in specific areas (but still expect plenty of overlap).

Note that I don't accept it's negative to believe there are average differences between men and women in a few areas, or to be interested in what the differences might be, although some sociology lecturers might not accept such views. But such individuals tend to believe things not backed up by science in my experience e.g. that IQ is in no way hereditary when twin and population studies show that hereditary factors do play a part in IQ.

Whether all average differences between homosexuals and heterosexuals are doing to socialisation/gay culture is an interesting question but, just like with average differences between men and women, I suspect they're not all down to socialisation.
