Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Better for us for France to lose her or get their act together and win?

It's the first week so there's no way to know really.

This is great from Italy - capitalising on France's carelessness.

Beaut of a kick from Garcia.

Traditionally Italy will give away silly penalties to let the opposition back in the game. Good start from them in defending the lead.

Italy actually playing the better all round rugby.
Need to be quicker to their rucks though

Parisse again. Having an incredible game.

Has there been a better Six Nations number eight in the Pro era than Parisse?

He really is a class act.

Italy showing no sign of flagging.

The French look worse than they did in the WC somehow

What was he saying? word for word please:p

More or less explaining the process by which the head coach candidates had to present their vision for the job. Noves pitched to the FFR that he intended to use Federation guys on his staff. Now that he has the job, he has some coaches that have never done the job they are doing now before, at any level, i.e., his backs (or defence?) coach has never done that role before.

Jackman also just said there, that if Bernard Laporte gets the Presidency of FFR, which he is in the running for, Noves may walk, such is the bitterness between them.

He looks like Stephen Larkham. Maybe they get a FB to kick instead!

Why are they looking at the grounding? That was never in doubt. Was clearly a suspicious pass in real time and warrants a few more looks on replay.

Bonneval even had to reach to take the pass.

Really enjoying this one. Italy clever as well...constant little grubber kicks to keep France well in their own 22. Lovely to see an Italian win!!

Vakatawa is something else - speed and power.

Parisse should go into the hall of fame. One of the greatest 8s of all time.

That French defence is even worse than against NZ at Cardiff. So passive.

    New Fijian winger looks dangerous.

Ref failed to act on French obstruction there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,071 ✭✭✭✭wp_rathead

Only saw part of the replay but I think Doyle got it right.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,972 ✭✭✭captbarnacles

Looked harsh on Parisse at first viewing.

    Tackle started around the neck!!!

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 27,300 Mod ✭✭✭✭Podge_irl

You could easily make a case tackle was high but I think he was definitely held in the tackle.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,071 ✭✭✭✭wp_rathead

another big scrum from Italy and potential pen?

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,666 ✭✭✭✭MJohnston

Thought it was a little unfair on Parisse, Doyle gave a similar very weak high tackle against Italy in the first half.
