    hello,

ive been very naive in recent times and managed to ignore the threats of online trouble makers! (yea) Even if it isn't me who primarily uses the machine.

Anyhoo the problem is very simple. My machine has been implanted with Go In Direct, wild sex club and other nonsense. I really want to get rid of it.

    I have no virus scanner.
I need one, it needs to be free and updated regularly. I'm sure there are none. So if there is one that is free, can delete all the crap on my machine at the minute and i can protect the machine with zone alarm nd not open any dodgey looking emails ill be satisfied enough.

    I need suggestions.

On a similar topic my favourite private email address has suddenly been spamed by sum shi_tty porn site thing. It's a bloody pain in the rear. I gotta keep telnettin in nd deleting the pricks but doing this once every day or two is feckin me off. i no i can setup rules etc.. to trash the **** but id be delighted to know if there is sumthing else i cud do do kill this menace at source. (yea)

(btw i do not look up porn on this machine but obviously some dik has been)

i hope some of ye ppl might be able to point me in the right direction.

    thanks.

    Hi,

a little program called ad-ware can remove that sort of thing. You just have to be carefull when browsing the web, expecially warez sites and that.

you can get ad-ware from here http://www.lavasoftusa.com/

    Regards,

    Paul

You can get free A/V software here:

It's update on a fairly regular basis, and it seems to do the job just fine.
